Off to the races!

Not literally.

But I wish.

I started my day with lessons 2 and 3 of Thrive in 30 (if you haven’t already, check out my first impressions of this program) – just enough motivation to get me into the kitchen to put this together:

breakfast-monday

Maple buckwheat flakes with almond milk, peanut butter, Wallaby plain yogurt (I used my man’s yogurt by mistake – it was a sleepy morning), and flax; green monster with 2 leaves of kale, half a banana, a splash of almond milk, and two strawberries; leftover soy mocha from Saturday’s coffee outing.

I lost track of time while I was packing my lunch, so I really had to shovel in the cereal.  I didn’t get to finish the mocha, so it came with me to work where it joined the daily beverage lineup:

beverages-monday

Today’s lineup features:

  • Water, in my lovely Roy’s Lemonade cup – a souvenir from last May’s trip to Lafayette, Louisiana where we stayed at a “haunted” B&B, scouted locations for a film I thought I was going to make, and attended the Breaux Bridge crawfish festival (no, I didn’t eat any mudbugs – even if I weren’t a vegetarian, I’d still think they’re gross)
  • The leftover soy mocha (I can never finish sugary drinks in one sitting)
  • Green tea – today’s is Allegro “Celebration Citrus & Spice”, which kind of tastes like orange-flavored Christmas

I don’t know how I did it, but I used to go through my whole work day without drinking any water.  Now I get at least 48 oz, usually 72.  It’s really dry in my office because the a/c is set at around 62 degrees.  My cardigan collection rarely gets a day off.

My day isn’t looking very exciting, but I’m hoping to finish listening to the podcast I started this morning on the train.  Details to come!
