Busy night!

My 3 p.m. snack (not pictured) was an apricot and a Wallaby peach yogurt.  My blackberry is making me crazy!  Photos coming soon.

Speaking of crazy, I have an important appointment tomorrow morning so my time after work was spent scouring the mall for the right thing to wear under my suit.  The suit I’ll be wearing tomorrow is dark brown, so I was hoping for something pale blue or cream…but I ended up getting the *perfect* white Façonnable blouse on sale at Nordstrom.  I almost got a pink one as well, but…one shirt at a time.  The salesgirl thought we were something else since I perused the entire second floor, tried on three shirts, then left for nearly two hours before returning to try on two more shirts and buy one (and…almost a Burberry coat dress, but it was out of season and I’m not sure what clothes I’ll need for work next season).  I didn’t have a serviceable white blouse, so this is a welcome addition to my professional wardrobe.

Those two hours not spent at Nordstrom were pretty much a waste!  I was hungry and scatterbrained, and I kept trying things on that were inexpensive but not quite right…I wish I could have saved those two hours and just gotten the shirt that I wanted, but it was twice as expensive as I had hoped and I figured I’d find something else.

But nope, I didn’t, and I fulfilled my “shopping destiny” by getting the shirt that I was “supposed” to.  These urgent shopping trips always end up like romantic comedies – I try out the good, classic thing, leave it for the unknown/crazy/easy/wild side of things, and end up right where I started, happy and humbled.

Dinner wasn’t even photo-worthy; by the time we got home, I was so starving that I microwaved another Amy’s Bistro Burger with lentil sprouts and Organic Valley mozzarella, then wrapped the whole mess in a brown rice tortilla with some nayonaise (soy mayo).  It was accompanied by the strangely gelatinous leftovers of this morning’s green monster.  Healthy, quick, and tasty, just not so photogenic.

I should have a very interesting story to tell by lunchtime tomorrow – *and* some photos of my food, the new shirt, and everything else that’s been going on.

Plus…a review of something awesome, healthy, and free!

In the meantime, I’ve got some beauty sleep to get and some documents to assemble.  (Plus, a workout to finish…I did some mat pilates while my nail polish was drying, but I’ll have to sneak in some time on the elliptical tomorrow morning if I can spare a few minutes.)

Good night!
